Meet the team

Sean has a wealth of knowledge in the UK lighting sector, with over 30 years’ experience, 27 of those at Prime Light. He joined Prime Light at its inception, jointly managing the business and has played a key role in contributing to its success. 

Sean’s expertise lie in component sourcing, sales and product development. As a hands-on Managing Director, his vision is to cement Prime Light’s position within the lighting and associated industries as the ‘go to’ partner for all project and component solutions; never forgetting the key value of trust, that the business is built on. 

Ben has been in the lighting business for over 13 years. Starting as a lighting designer at a luminaire manufacturing company, moving on to a national sales role, before returning to wireless manufacturing prior to starting with Prime Light.

Ben looks after the controls business at Prime Light, this includes basic sensors, wireless sensors and wireless control systems. With knowledge of a range of roles within lighting, Ben can work with your team at all levels to develop the best solution for your project.

Rowley is a well-qualified and experienced CFO specialising in SME’s. A specialist in guiding businesses that need to scale up and/or generate more value. Previous roles have been with P/E backed companies in the Manufacturing, Distribution and FMCG sectors both UK and Internationally and covering both B2B and B2C supply chain models.

Nigel has 15+ years of experience achieving aggressive sales and profitability goals, prospecting for new business, and exceeding ambitious sales objectives. Background in driving sales growth, establishing brands and businesses, growing market share, and profitability in competitive business climates. Tenacious at identifying new revenue opportunities, building customer loyalty, and forging long-term relationships with external and internal business partners to drive results. Previous roles within electrical, lighting and smart home in retail, wholesale and contractors selling B2B and opening up new B2C channels.

Having started in 1985, Paul has accumulated years of experience in the field of electro-mechanical/electronic components. Prior to joining Prime Light in 2015, he spent 13 years in the lighting industry with a manufacturer of LED-based light fittings and components. Paul defines and executes product strategies for Prime Light's key product lines, including Emergency, LED Drivers, LED Boards, and Track and Cable Management Products.

Andy has been Involved in distribution of electro-mechanical/electronic components since 1983, specialising in a range of products including switches, connectors and cable assemblies. He began working in the lighting Industry 9 years ago with a manufacturer of LED based light fittings and components. 

Since joining Prime Light in 2015, Andy has supported major OEMs in Scotland and the North of England and continues to provide top customer service to meet their ongoing requirements.  

Joe has a vast knowledge of project expertise supporting electrical contractors and OEM’s throughout the country. With his on-site experience of 9 years with lighting controls and building automation solutions, he is able to build a rapport and ‘think outside the box’ to understand exactly what is required to troubleshoot and solve issues at hand. Joe can work with your organisation to develop the best project solutions for your requirements.

Harley is an experienced and well-versed sales manager recognised for her ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and her contributions to record sales figures. Harley has worked with leading manufacturers in the electrical and lighting industry for the past 6 years and has proven abilities in territory expansion and new account development within the industry. Harley offers an in-depth understanding of the sales cycle process, maintaining a focus on customer service and satisfaction.  

With 20 years experience in the Lighting Industry, Alex stands as a seasoned expert in 2D and 3D luminaire design. His skill set extends to crafting retrofit solutions aimed at helping companies meet their sustainability targets. Alex has been an integral part of the lighting design landscape since the emergence of LED technology. In his previous role as a technical manager, he played a pivotal role by offering comprehensive support to sales teams, clients, and colleagues. This included providing intricate guidance on LED board specifications, driver compatibility, and the suitability of emergency conversion kits, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to excellence in the field.

Kieran is a dedicated, committed, and relationship-led sales professional. With over four years of experience in the hospitality sector and just over seven years in the electrical wholesale sector, he has cultivated a strong focus on B2B and B2C customer relationships.

His unwavering dedication has allowed him to adapt and deliver in an ever-changing specifications market, meeting the diverse requirements of customers. Kieran's expertise lies in navigating the complexities of both B2B and B2C landscapes, where he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering meaningful connections with clients.

With nearly 30 years in the Electrical Industry, Paul's journey began in specialty lamps and evolved into expertise in Pre-wired Modular Wiring Systems and OEM & Export Sales. For the past 14 years, he has been a key player in the Lighting Controls Division.

Paul brings extensive knowledge in Electrical Installations, Lighting, and Lighting Controls to his role. At Prime Light, he will collaborate with end users and specifiers, delivering tailored Lighting Control solutions for immediate needs and future-proofed Smart Building integration.

Joe Loughrey, Prime Light's Junior Business Development Manager. With over 5 years of experience in hospitality and retail, Joe brings a wealth of skills in brand representation, team leadership, and customer service.

During his time at the University of West London, Joe focused on refining his sales abilities, emphasising brand representation and customer experience. Now, at Prime Light, Joe is excited to leverage his expertise to drive business growth and manage client accounts. With a passion for promoting diverse product solutions and services, Joe is poised to make a significant impact on expanding our client portfolio and driving sales. We're thrilled to welcome Joe to the team and look forward to the contributions he'll bring to Prime Light's success.

Stacey is a dynamic Senior Marketer who plays a pivotal role in driving marketing success with expertise in impactful campaigns, lead generation, and growth strategies. As an experienced PR and Marketing professional, Stacey possesses a comprehensive understanding of B2B and B2C marketing in energy, lighting and design.

What sets Stacey apart is her holistic approach to projects, drawing upon her alternative background in brand identity, strategy, content production and lead generation. This comprehensive perspective empowers her to implement all-encompassing marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences and drive tangible outcomes.

Jon has been with Prime Light for 24 years therefore a valued member of the team involved in many areas of the business from credit control to bought ledger, sales, and purchasing.
Jon oversees the day to day operations and manages purchasing, imports and exports as well as managing the sales office.

Dave has been in the Lighting Industry for 8 years, previously 27 years in the IT sector with various roles from sales, account management and support services. His main focus at Prime light is managing the house accounts as well as dealing with all incoming enquiries via telephone and email.  Additionally he provides support to the external sales team where pricing or quotations are needed that are time sensitive. 

He's a bit of an all-rounder having experience in fluorescents, control gear, terminal blocks, glands, plugs/sockets and modular wiring /lead assembly to name a few so you are in safe hands.

Daven, the Assistant Office Manager, excels in building strong relationships with customers and colleagues. He ensures smooth business operations, serving as the central point of contact for customers, handling sales orders, and enquiries, and managing purchase orders with suppliers. Daven is vital in maintaining excellent customer service and efficient office operations.
