Sean Hounslow
Managing Director
Sean has a wealth of knowledge in the UK lighting sector, with over 30 years’ experience, 27 of those at Prime Light. He joined Prime Light at its inception, jointly managing the business and has played a key role in contributing to its success.
Sean’s expertise lie in component sourcing, sales and product development. As a hands-on Managing Director, his vision is to cement Prime Light’s position within the lighting and associated industries as the ‘go to’ partner for all project and component solutions; never forgetting the key value of trust, that the business is built on.
Simon Weaver
Chief Financial Officer
Simon is an experienced CFO, having worked in a number of industries. Simon is focused on helping companies to both grow rapidly and build value. Previous roles include CFO of OLIVER Marketing, helping the business grow from £3m to over a £100m in Revenues, and as CFO, doubling the size of an Ecommerce business inside 2 years. These results have come through a combination of organic growth and M&A.
Guy Madgwick
Sales and Marketing Director
Guy is responsible for managing and driving forward the sales and marketing teams and increasing revenue and market awareness in line with Prime Light’s growth plans. Guy’s career spans an impressive 25 years in the lighting industry, working with OEM, consultants, contractors, wholesale and manufacturing channels.
Having worked predominantly in the smart building and lighting sectors, Guy has a tremendous track record - and when it comes to developing and motivating teams, he has proven results, having overseen sales teams who have produced exponential growth in companies such as Schneider Electric and Mitie PLC.
Paul McDermott-Roe
Sales Manager – South UK
Paul has a wealth of product management and sales experience within the field of Electro-mechanical/Electronic components since starting in1985. He began working in the lighting industry 10 years ago with a manufacturer of LED based light fittings and components, before joining Prime Light in 2015.
Paul supports major customers within the South of England with their LED components or cable management requirements and provides technical expertise, right through to product specifications.
Andy Botsford
Sales Manager – North UK
Andy has been Involved in distribution of electro-mechanical/electronic components since 1983, specialising in a range of products including switches, connectors and cable assemblies. He began working in the lighting Industry 9 years ago with a manufacturer of LED based light fittings and components.
Since joining Prime Light in 2015, Andy has supported major OEMs in Scotland and the North of England and continues to provide top customer service to meet their ongoing requirements.
Munraj Johal
Business Development Manager – Controls
Munraj started his career in the lighting industry just over 8 years ago. During this time, he has built up an extensive knowledge on lighting control systems for the commercial sector. At Prime Light, Munraj will be specialising in the controls business, this includes basic sensors, wireless sensors and wireless control systems.
Munraj can work with your team to deliver the correct specifications for your project and provide the most appropriate solution for your building.
Ben Brunton
Controls Director
Ben has been in the lighting business for over 12 years. Starting as a lighting designer at a luminaire manufacturing company, moving on to a national sales role, before returning to wireless manufacturing prior to starting with Prime Light.
Ben looks after the controls business at Prime Light, this includes basic sensors, wireless sensors and wireless control systems. With knowledge of a range of roles within lighting, Ben can work with your team at all levels to develop the best solution for your project.
Ben Williams
Business Development Manager, Emergency Lighting
Ben brings with him 8 years of industry experience. Having built up strong relationships in this time within OEMs, distribution and light design channels, this means he is able to offer a high level of service and knowledge, right through to the specification of projects.
Ben specialises in emergency lighting solutions and is supported by a flexible, high quality range of products. He can work closely with customers to deliver the right solution for the right application.
Joe Challen
Technical Support Manager
Joe has a vast knowledge of technical expertise supporting electrical contractors and OEM’s throughout the country. With his on-site experience of 8 years with lighting controls and building automation solutions, he is able to build a rapport and ‘think outside the box’ to understand exactly what is required to troubleshoot and solve issues at hand. Joe can work with your organisation to develop the best support for your requirements.
Ian Duffy
Sales Manager – Midlands
Ian started his career as a time-served electrician, gaining experience in several sectors including manufacturing, electrical contracting and offshore engineering. Lighting was a major part of his day-to-day experience.
He moved into sales within the electrical manufacturing industry over 25 years ago, working with OEMs, consultants, contractors and wholesalers in the UK and overseas. He has been involved in LED lighting since 2010.
Ian supports major customers across the Midlands region with their lighting, OEM and cable management requirements, using his technical knowledge to provide expertise to meet their specific requirements.
Ryan Grout
Product Manager
As our new product manager, Ryan will work closely with the sales team and suppliers to ensure we have the right products and most importantly the right sales strategy to achieve the steady growth we expect from this key area. With approximately 10 years of experience in the lighting sector, primarily in technical roles within OEMs, Ryan has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to him in his new position.
Lisa Heynes
Head of Marketing
Lisa has worked in marketing and communications for 8 years. With a wealth of previous experience in both public and private sector roles, she brings with her a diverse skillset including digital marketing, marketing strategy, website management, PR and communications, social media marketing, B2B, B2C, campaign management, event management and graphic design.
The main goal for Lisa at Prime Light is to raise our company profile, promote our range of solutions and to ensure new and existing customers are aware of the benefits our solution can offer, this is combined with identifying and breaking into new market sectors.
Lloyd Parkinson
Content and Social Media Assistant
As part of the growing marketing team and demand for marketing activities across the organisation, we felt it was time to increase capacity and welcome a new full-time member to the team, Lloyd Parkinson.
Lloyd is going to be supporting the marketing team with his plethora of skills, including social media planning, design, and copywriting. He’s passionate about strategising and planning, along with using a range of planning tools for social media marketing. He comes from an agency background, where he was required to work for multiple clients. However, it has been a dream of his to work for an in-house marketing team.
Jon Dyson
Office Manager
Jon has been with Prime Light for 22 years therefore a valued member of the team involved in many areas of the business from credit control to bought ledger, sales, and purchasing.
Jon oversees the day to day operations and manages purchasing, imports and exports as well as managing the sales office.
David Wells
Sales Administrator
Dave has been in the Lighting Industry for 8 years, previously 27 years in the IT sector with various roles from sales, account management and support services. His main focus at Prime light is managing the house accounts as well as dealing with all incoming enquiries via telephone and email. Additionally he provides support to the external sales team where pricing or quotations are needed that are time sensitive.
He's a bit of an all-rounder having experience in fluorescents, control gear, terminal blocks, glands, plugs/sockets and modular wiring /lead assembly to name a few so you are in safe hands.
Sophia Marazzi
Sales Administrator
Sophia is an experienced customer service advisor, who builds great relationships with customers. As part of the internal sales team, she provides a central point of contact to our customers requiring any information, assistance or support. Alongside her colleagues in the office, she processes customer sales orders and manages all enquires sent to the sales inbox. She also shares the responsibility of placing purchase orders and liaising with suppliers regarding prices and lead times.
